Silver Tungsten Alloy Rod
Silver-tungsten alloy is a false alloy consisting of silver and tungsten, a binary alloy of silver and tungsten. Silver and tungsten are insoluble in either liquid or solid state. The production of Ag - W alloy can only be made into sintered material by powder metallurgy. The material is characterized by high hardness, strong resistance to arc erosion, adhesion and fusion welding. Silver-tungsten alloy can be used for low-voltage power switch, locomotive switch, high current switch pre-contact, as well as heavy load relays, air circuit breakers, etc. Adding cobalt can improve the wettability of silver to tungsten and reduce the contact resistance.
Different proportion of silver tungsten has different properties, such as AGW50 not only has good electrical conductivity and good processing performance, but also has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, and good arc erosion resistance, welding performance. The great characteristic of silver tungsten is its strong resistance to high current arc.
